Research
My main current focus is on the development, in a numerical relativity setting, of appropriate conceptual and technical tools for the modelling of the inspiral in extreme and intermediate mass binaries.
Other scientific interests include:
- Theoretical and astrophysical aspects of quasi-local black hole horizons. In particular, I am interested in their role as probes into the non-linear dynamics of black hole spacetimes.
- Interplay of constrained evolution schemes in General Relativity and spectral numerical methods, and its application into the modelling of Gravitational Wave sources.
- Numerical study of geometric problems in Gravitation theory (i.e. in General Relativity and extensions).
- Effective dynamics of anomalous degrees of freedom (i.e. emerging in an anomalous quantum theory) and its gravitational implications.

About me
Since October 2009 I am part of the Numerical Relativity group at AEI, that I joined as a Humboldt Experienced Researcher.
