Jobs with the AEI Numerical Relativity Group

Postdoctoral fellowships: 2011-2012

At least once a year, the Numerical Relativity group announces openings for postdoctoral positions, encouraging applications from all areas of Numerical Relativity and at all levels. Particularly appreciated are those applicants who cross the domains of different research groups within the AEI, e.g., those who can work in related areas of mathematical and astrophysical relativity, combining strong analytical and numerical skills. The positions for 2011-2012 have been posted on the hyperspace@aei bulletin board.

PhD fellowships

PhD fellowships can be obtained within the International Max Planck Research School on Gravitational Wave Astronomy. The IMPRS is a collaboration between the AEI at Potsdam and Hannover, the University of Hannover and the Laser Centre Hannover. The IMPRS aims at educating a new generation of researchers in the emerging field of gravitational wave astronomy. The education provided in the IMPRS will cover the complete scope of the field from classical interferometry on the ground and in space, over to advanced and nonclassical interferometry, source modelling and data analysis. The IMPRS calls for applications twice a year, usually at the beginning of the year and after the summer. More information on the IMPRS as well as on the next call for applications can be found here. For additional information, please contact Prof. L. Rezzolla.
